Stamp Room Tour

Posted in About me, Personal Share, Uncategorized by stamptilyoudrop

When I first started out, like most of you, I bought a few supplies and kept them in a small box.  That grew to plastic storage bins and before you knew it I had taken over the dining room.  I really wanted my own creative space but with four children space was at a premium in my house.  I had a large walk-in storage closet that I made into a cozy little crafting space. It worked out fine but as my collection of stamps, inks and papers grew my little room wasn’t cutting it any more, but I had no place to expand.

We moved that summer to another house, this one with an attached garage plus a huge two car detached garage in the back.  Since my husband claimed the back garage he converted the attached garage to my current space. It has been fifteen years and this is my happy place.  It’s here I can relax, binge watch Netflix and just let my creative self go.

My space isn’t super extravagant with all the latest cabinets or organizers, but it works for me. Maybe you can get some ideas to use in your space and remember you don’t need a fancy craft room for stamping the most important thing is to just get your supplies out and stamp something to share with your friends and family even if it is in a cozy little closet.

I keep my ink pads and reinkers on the wall in holders my dad built for me and various supplies and tools are in the plastic bins.  My Big Shot station is on the counter the perfect height for me to stand and work.  The big cabinet to the left holds all my non-stamping crafting supplies.  I have a six foot table in the middle where I work.  To keep it clean I have a plastic tablecloth on it, that way when I have an inky mess I can just wipe it clean

Shelves that hold some of my non-SU stamps and some really old SU ones.

Two filing cabinets that hold all my cardstock, business files and card samples.  See that little desk?  That was once in that little closet when I had my first stamp room.  On it I have baskets with my punches, ribbon, washi and my DSP, glimmer paper and foil paper

I like my supplies in baskets so I can see everything at a glance.  My 12 x 12 DSP are in holders I found on clearance in OfficeMax

Scissors, Aqua Painters, X-Acto knives, rulers and bone folders are in an old Pampered Chef utensil caddy.

Ink pads and reinkers, plus a stand for my heat gun. The baskets hold my embossing folders, Big Shot platforms and cutting plates.

My Big Shot station with adhesives in a plastic bin so they are always handy.

I do keep my room this neat when I’m not creating but when I am working it will take on a life of its own!

And this is what my table looks like when I’m stamping..
