Double Z Gate Fold Card Using Merry Mice

Today’s share is a fancy fold, not sure the official name but to me it is a Double Z with a Gate closure, so I am calling it a Double Z Gate Fold card.  I love that it is very easy to do and always a hit with everyone.
It features the sets Merry Mice and Wonderful Year and of course no card of mine wouldn’t be complete with out using my trusty Aqua Painters or the Big Shot.
As a side note, I do LOVE my Big Shot and I know it is a HUGE investment.  With the holidays on the horizon, why not add it to your wish list and maybe you will find one under your tree!  For more info on how to do this please check out my blog post from September 26, 2016.
Another way to get the Big Shot is to have a workshop and earn Stampin’ Rewards to help with the cost. It can be in your home with friends, collecting orders from the catalog or why not try a Facebook workshop!  Contact me for more details.

Halloween Treat Box

Hello everyone!

It has been a very busy few weeks, between family commitments and not feeling well,  I apologize that I have not been able to devote as much time to my stamping business as usual. But the beauty of having my own business is that I can set my own hours and if I need to take a little time off I can.  That’s one of the reason I love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!  As long as I meet my minimum requirements for the quarter I can take off as much time as I need to.

But I am back and have been busy in my stamp room this past week creating projects and videos for the upcoming holiday season, I can’t wait to share them with you!  I also spent the entire day with two fellow demonstrators on Saturday planning our upcoming classes showcasing all the great products in the 2016 Holiday Catalog and including some great gift ideas.

Today’s share is a cute little Halloween Treat Box utilizing the Gift Box Punch Board. This tool is amazing!  It can make several different sized boxes in both square and rectangle shapes and once you get the hang of it they are so easy to put together. Not only great for holidays treats and small gifts but perfect for wedding favors too!

Project Dimensions:

  • Pumpkin Pie cardstock – 8″ x 8″ (this will make a 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ box)
  • Thick Whisper White cardstock ( 2″ x 5 1/2″ used for the mummy & skeleton)
  • Whisper White cardstock – small scrap approx. 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ for the tag
  • Halloween Night Specialty DSP – 2″ x 12″ (I used the striped DSP)

October Class Schedules

Let’s get ready to celebrate both Halloween and World Card Making Day!  

World Card Making Day is October 1st this year and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by getting together with us and create 5 cards that are perfect for a variety of occasions!

And let’s not forget Halloween!  You will be making a set of adorable “BOO” boxes using the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series paper, two little treat boxes using the Jar of Haunts set and a treat bag using the set Cookie Cutter Halloween and the coordinating punch!

Quick n’ Easy Saturday – Lovin’ Washi Tape!

It’s Saturday so that means a quick n’ easy card!  Today’s share is a card using Warmth & Cheer Designer Washi Tape and the stamp set Suite Seasons with the colors Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.  Enjoy!

Say Hello to the 2016 Holiday Catalog!

I love everything about the Holidays.  Spending time with family and friends, exchanging gifts, all the baking and of course getting to create holiday cards to share.  This catalog is amazing and offers such a variety of stamps and accessories I know there is something for everyone.

I will be showcasing holiday cards, gift wrap ideas and decor over the next few months to inspire you to get crafting this holiday season.  I hope you will join me this holiday season, I have so many ideas to share and I will have a few other surprises too! Please make sure you click “follow” on my blog or “subscribe” on my YouTube channel so you don’t miss a single post!

Now on to today’s share!  For the first card idea from the new catalog I am using a Suite that really caught my eye when I first looked at the catalog, Petals and Paisleys.  The stamp set is so versatile it can be used for many occasions not just Thanksgiving.  The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous and features the colors Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede , Very Vanilla and copper foil.  Also in the suite are a ribbon trio, copper foil sheets, a textured impressions embossing folder and a coordinating cardstock pack.

Happy Holidays – Part II

I am in love with this washi tape, Warmth & Cheer and the set, Suite Seasons has sayings for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Father Christmas is a set that begged for watercolor, I used the sepia technique on this card   (click here to see a video tutorial on this technique)

Merry Mice is an adorable set that worked well with the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Bakers Twine Trio

I had fun embossing the Merry Medley background stamp and Santa’s Sleigh.  I always forget how striking embossing can look.

Now that we have had a little sneak peek of Christmas stamps, I will share some Halloween and Thanksgiving ideas this weekend.  I told you this catalog is chock full of great products and ideas, only  a few more weeks until it will be unveiled!  Check back in a few days for more ideas!
